For production dApps, prioritize providers with tiered support. Start with Alchemy or QuickNode. Avoid public endpoints entirely. Public RPC availability is unpredictable by design.

For development work requiring debug or trace APIs, QuickNode includes them by default. Alchemy charges extra. Infura restricts them to high-end plans.

If zero external dependency matters, run your own Nitro node. Accept the hardware and maintenance burden. It is the only way to guarantee your queries never leave your control.
